WELCOME!

This blog shares the happenings of Chris, Lacey and Reese O'Donnell. We didn't used to have that much to say about ourselves which is why posts were few and far between, but now we have a little person that will give us a lot to talk about. The blog will also feature Lacey's Random Finds - event planning, paper love, pretty crafty things, etc.

ENJOY!

TONS of New Posts

Hi!! I finally got caught up and posted the last month's worth of posts. Read all the way back to Easter so you don't miss anything. I'll start posting more regularly again now!

New Adventures in Bathing Reese

Swimming Lessons

Reese just started swimming lessons! The class is for 6 month-18 month babies and Reese, being just shy of 6 months, is the youngest. We have only been to two classes, but she seems to love it. She smiles, kicks and squeals with delight. The instructor dipped her face in the water and she drank a bunch of water and started coughing. But then....Reese kept trying to dip her face in for the rest of the class, so it clearly didn't bother her.

Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to get pictures in the pool, since I have to hang on to the kid, but I did manage to get some in her swimming suit before we left for class this week.

Practicing kicking...

Swinging with the Lindseys

We were lucky to spend an afternoon recently with the Lindsey girls - Belle, Soph and Vivi. We all walked to the park to play and Reese tried out the swing for the first time. She seemed to love it, but notice she is hanging on!

Random Cuteness

Royal Wedding Party

Reese and I hosted a Royal Wedding party for some of our girlfriends. The girls slept over on the 28th and we all got up at 4 in the morning to watch the festivities. It was VERY fun. We decorated, made yummy treats and learned that the fanciest hats are called fascinators.

(yes, that is the nfl draft on the tv. it was taken the night before!)

Reese Eats

Reese started with rice cereal this week. She wasn't sure what to think about it.

Then....she grabbed the spoon and wouldn't let go

And by the end she had an appropriately messy (happy!) face!

Reese - FIVE MONTHS

Just after Easter, Reese turned 5 months old! She is growing and changing so quick. Here are some things about Reese right now:

* She is about ready to eat, showing a lot of interest when we do and even mimicking chewing

* She weighs 15.5 pounds and is 26 inches

* She grabs everything and reaches for toys and bottles

* She has a VERY loud voice. She will talk and talk at full volume

* She started day care just one day a week and seems to love it. The other little kids love Baby Reese and she is very entertained by them. She has a good memory from week to week too, remembering everyone there and offering big smiles when she sees them again

Easter

We had a great time celebrating Reese's first Easter. I was especially excited to coordinate our family outfits. As Colleen noted, even Reese's bunny had a matching ribbon. :) We enjoyed breakfast, finding her Easter basket, church and dinner with the O'Donnells.

Mulch Foreman

It's not Easter without a little (a lot!) of mulch. Reese did her best to help/oversee the process.
