WELCOME!

This blog shares the happenings of Chris, Lacey and Reese O'Donnell. We didn't used to have that much to say about ourselves which is why posts were few and far between, but now we have a little person that will give us a lot to talk about. The blog will also feature Lacey's Random Finds - event planning, paper love, pretty crafty things, etc.

ENJOY!

Spring Training

Chris and I just got back from sunny 80 degree Florida (a nice change from the cold dreary Washington weather we are currently having). We spent the weekend in and around Tampa where many of the major leauge baseball teams have Spring Training. This was my rookie Spring Training experience but my husband has been a few times over the years. I LOVED IT!

First, its warm. Second, afternoon baseball is WAY better than work. Third, they sell a lot of fun gear (exibit A: phillies "bling" flipflops - which yes, I now own in red.)
I have always been a sports fan (endless summer days spent at Ken Price ballpark, MHS Basketball (Superfan status)). It is true however, that being married to Chris I have become a better educated fan and have adopted his Philly Teams. (some would argue that being better educated, I wouldn't choose a Philly team based on history, but I say they are fun.)

Our schedule for spring training included the following:

* Trip to Fort Meyer to see the World Champion Boston Red Socks (including Dice-K Matsuzaka pitching - a Young boys' future favorite?)
* Day at the Phillies game

Ryan Howard (my fav) Doesn't it look like he is smiling right at me?

* Visit to Legends field to see the NY Yankees take on the Cleveland Indians

* St. Patty's day Phillies game where the team wears Green Jerseys. How cool is that?

So pretty much I loved Spring Training and can't wait for next year. Who's in?
